| Mission
It all starts with God....
We belong to God.
He has brought us together in Christ, and told us what kind of church he wants us to be. In response we serve him as best we can.
God is gathering people to live with Jesus as Saviour and Lord.
Through his word and Spirit, God draws people to trust and obey Jesus, and so builds his church. This is God’s great plan for our time (Luke 24:46-47, Acts 2:22-41, Ephesians 1:9-10).
We long to see all people know Christ, honour Christ and share Christ.
In line with God’s plan, we long to see ourselves and all people living with Jesus as Saviour and Lord. This is our ‘vision’. (Philippians 3:7-11, Colossians 2:6-12 & 3:1-4:6).
We pray and proclaim Christ to people.
Motivated by love for God and people, we proclaim Christ, and pray that the Holy Spirit would transform lives. This is our ‘mission’. We pray and proclaim Christ to three groups of people - each other, those around us and those beyond us in ‘the nations’ (Matthew 28:18-20, Colossians 1:28-29).
